Supporter Statistics
Those that contribute annually to The Longleaf Alliance are referred to as our supporters instead of members since the LLA is not a membership-based organization which has specific implications for 501(c)3 corporations.
Financial contributors to The Longleaf Alliance are cataloged in our supporter database and are essential in funding our day-to-day operations as well as providing invaluable non-federal funds for matching federal funds as required by many of the grants we receive.
Supporters receive the newsletter, The Longleaf Leader, other publications and updates, and get a discount on conference registration fees.
We also receive occasional institutional support from state and federal agencies, other NGOs, nurseries, and the forest industry. These valuable supporters also receive a copy or copies of the newsletter, but obviously all employees cannot be granted the same status and perquisites as individual members.
We now have supporters located in three countries and 33 states, including all nine in the natural longleaf range. The Longleaf Alliance is truly a grass roots organization as we have 85% of our supporters coming from individuals. At this time, we have 11 nurseries that contribute through the surcharge program.
Help us restore the longleaf pine forest and become a supporter today!
