Comments = Growing within a slight gully along with several other large diameter trees (including a few other flat topped longleaf). Canopy branches with two large forks. Part of the canopy was broken out in a 1993 snowstorm. Landowner says that tree produces cones the size of footballs. Lightning has recently killed several large trees in the area around this tree.

Location: Butler County, AL-- Take Highway 10 East out of Greenville towards Luverne. The tree is approximately 2 miles outside of city limits of Greenville on left hand side of road near a yellow house.
